Pearly Queens

She's a pearl of a girl. Stevie Wonder.
I think I must be too, not sure what else could explain the current obsession with them. Ever since I found out you could decorate with them, I've been collecting pearly pictures for inspiration. Now I just need to afford a barrel load of them and we're off. I used to have fake and real, but some burglar in Essex is currently wearing them out to his annual rugby club dinner and dance.
Not to worry, we can still luxuriate in dreams and pictures of them and hopefully they will inspire you to be a bit extravagant with your decor.

Love this pearl lampshade image source

This is the high street version, mother-of-pearl discs. Very shimmery. here
If you're just looking for a little accent, do a cushion. I'm warning you now though, it's about to get a whole lot more bonkers in a minute. credit
Pearl tile splash-back, very tasteful here

Oh what the hell, tile the whole bathroom in it. There you go.
Put this chair in it...these are sequins. Sure, why not.
Out with the white enamel and in with this thing.
More pearl chairs.
And a chandelier...
This one by Erikson Beamon. These will set you back a couple of Gs.
This one, fifty bucks. And the pearl lights up. No contest.

Lovely detail in a mantle mirror

It's a rug. Made of pearls. That's right.
Pearl sequin wallpaper. And no, I can't imagine doing this DIY style.
Replica of a bed made in 1661 for Princess Marie Mancini. Comes in gold too, apparently.

Or you could settle for this:
  The Pearly Queen of Islington.

Lastly, a very pretty detail of hand carved mother-of-pearl doors. Ta-da!
